Kick by John L. Monk

How pathetic am I, googling myself at 12:58 a.m. (instead of writing Kick 2)?

Also want to add: how lucky am I to have such amazing reactions to my first book?

Very happy.

That Guy… Who Was in That Thing (2012)

This was an awesome documentary.

soulfire's avatarDynamite Review

that guy who was in that thing

Director:

Ian Roumain

Michael Schwartz

Starring:

Xander Berkeley

Bruce Davison

Craig Fairbrass

Timothy Omundson

Plot:

Documentary about sixteen actors who detail their ups and downs as they struggle to forge careers in Hollywood. They’ve played cops, lawyers, bosses, best friends, psychopaths, politicians and everything in between. Now you’ll know who they are.

Review:

This was a great documentary. So much information and I enjoyed figuring out where I’d seen everyone. I also noticed a parallel between character actors and mid-list authors. A lot of the time they have to work part time jobs while pursuing their passions.

Timothy Omundson looks younger with a beard somehow and super sexy.

Everyone’s in Star Trek.

4/5

Need a good app to record stuff…

I came up with two cool phrases today but I only remember one of them: “corporate cute.”  Sounds like something already invented, but not yet a cliche so I’m still happy with it.

The other one was better.  I really need to carry around a tape device, or get an app that I can take notes with while driving, or right before bed, etc.  Anyone have a favorite app?

*Update*

Folks over on kboards.com are recommending “Evernote” and “Voice Talk”.  Also, apparently iPhones have a built-in notes functionality where you speak and it records it.

Win my eBook (if you dare…)

P.T. Hylton, author of “Regulation 19”, is doing a promo where you can win a copy of my book by answering a weird question. Neat idea for a promo. He does it for other books too, but this month he chose me. Very cool.
