A written interview with moi, where I talk about books and reading and such. Very little about publishing or writing. It’s an interesting site — this guy really does a great job on presentation, with pictures of books and links and all that. I think he has an interview somewhere with Henry Rollins. Totally cool.

CrimeFiction.FM — Launch Day
Stephen Campbell’s “CrimeFiction.FM” podcast officially launched today, with 2 interviews posted. You can listen to them directly off the site (http://crimefiction.fm/) or via iTunes. The interviews are fairly short, 10-20 mins. Mine will be out early May.
For those of you with with access to iTunes, a podcast’s launch day is just as important as an author’s launch day. Reviews and downloads play a key role in early success. I plan to leave a review a little later today, after I’ve had a listen 🙂

Interviewed by E.E. Giorgi
Recently I was interviewed by award-winning author E.E. Giorgi. I’d already planned on reading her book “Chimeras” because so many authors have recommended it, including P.T. Hylton and top-selling author Nicholas Sansbury Smith. Her book has also got an impressive amount of “Vine Voice” and “Top 500” reviews. So I’m particularly honored that she’d ask me about my new book, Thief’s Odyssey:

‘KICK’ back and relax in my fabulous interview session with John L. Monk!
My name is John L. Monk, and I’ve been interviewed by Logan Keys. It’s actually sort of a cool interview, she posted all these funny pictures in it. I mean, unless you don’t like funny pictures…

“Right now “Kick” has 65 reviews on Amazon, and a 4.7 star rating out of 5. When I first published, I’d hoped people would like the book, but I never expected the reaction I’ve gotten. I had a top 500 Hall of Fame Vine Voice reviewer say it was “one of the more entertaining and unique books” he’d read that year. Another Vine Voice reviewer also gave me a great review, and multiple reviewers made statements requesting a sequel. Over on Goodreads, I have a 4.3 rating (43 ratings/16 reviews), which is pretty good for Goodreads. I’m hugely flattered.”John L. Monk
I know I’ve whetted your appetite for this for far too long! Here it is folks,
John L. Monk rocks the house with our very first Loganesque interview.

So John, are you as stoked about this interview as I am?

The Story Telling Podcast
When my interview came out, I went to kboards.com and of course told everyone. I was excited, what can I say? Author Stacy Claflin posted a link to one of her own–a video interview–and I watched it. Not only was it a good interview, it had great interviewers. One day if I grow a backbone (or get drunk enough), maybe I’ll do one. I do know I’m going to be watching a LOT of these interviews 🙂 In fact, I do believe I’m going to add them to my links.
